This lunation is highlighting our “black sheep” tendencies. The ways in which we seek community but can’t seem to find it. The ways we let ourselves bleed into whatever rules given to us without thought. The ways in which we remain different, sticking out like an energetic sore thumb, regardless of how much we’d rather fit in. It can be hard to view this as a source of strength rather than weakness. We desire to create bonds, fuse ourselves to whatever we think will propel us forward.

Some of us far away from our goals. Some so close we can taste it.

The test is not bending and becoming what’s expected. It’s also not just about being a driving force of change, purposely shaking up the status quo.

We go beyond claiming and conquering— this is depth of balancing our inner ferocity with logic. This lunation invites you to know the truth of who you are and how you contribute to the wider tapestry of life, differences and all. It also asks us to make sure that what we’re fighting for— love, money, safety, connection— holds weight and honesty.

The gaze into the murky abyss that is oh so daunting because getting what we want isn’t always pretty. The beauty is found in our willingness to be guided by both the illumination and shadow that comes with what we want.

With Jupiter and Sun in Leo, this moon reflects what we need to learn more so than what we should manifest (although you are welcome to work with this moon however you’d like).

There is a careful caution around any falsehoods that could be surrounding what we believe is the right thing for us. Saturn Retrograde in Aries is here to urge us to face those falsehoods and rectify them. We can build on a shaky ground and force a structure to rise all we want— the truth will always find us and those false structures will always find a way to crumble. If we’re going to build, do the work, let it be worth the investment. Saturns is working its energy to tears down illusion and push us towards a balanced ego and truthful fulfillment.

When we think of how we show up or are visible in this world, we must question if we are truly seen. When we take a bow for any applause we receive, we have to know that it is for the right things. And as we welcome attention and shine our light, we must have the clarity to know if the eyes and minds that lay us attention are the kind we need.

Aquarius energy isn’t the type to pipe down. Whatever changes we need to make will be abundantly clear during this full moon. Take what is being shown to you seriously. Take what you desire seriously. Take yourself seriously.

We can also recognize that our flaws, ideas, tendencies are the things that we as a collective most likely share— that we’re not so alone in how we feel in our joy or fear.

These harsh truths, endings that shift into new beginnings, reconciling and reckonings— all of it builds towards building something with intention and love. A loving patience that in years time, you’ll see the fruits of that labor bare stronger, more beautifully than if you hadn’t taken the chance to be honest with yourself and others all that time ago.
